Indoor rowing has played an important role in Sonal's development as an athlete, helping him build strength, endurance, and mental resilience. Through consistent training and competition on the Concept2 rowing ergometer, he has achieved success at national level across multiple age categories.

In 2026, at just 14 years of age, Sonal challenged himself by competing in the Under 19 category, racing against older athletes. His performances demonstrated both his competitive mindset and his willingness to test himself at a higher level in pursuit of continuous improvement.
