Academic Goals

Sonal is currently studying at Asian International School and is pursuing the Edexcel International curriculum. His immediate academic goal is to successfully complete his International GCSE (IGCSE) examinations, followed by his Edexcel International Advanced Level qualifications (AS and A2). He is committed to achieving strong academic results while balancing the demands of high-performance rowing.

Beyond school, Sonal aims to attend a university that offers a strong rowing programme, allowing him to continue competing and developing as an athlete at a high level. At the same time, he intends to pursue studies in a field that supports his long-term ambition of becoming a professional pilot, allowing him to continue his athletic development while building the knowledge and qualifications required for a future career in aviation.

Through dedication to both his studies and sport, Sonal strives to achieve excellence in the classroom, on the water, and ultimately in the aviation industry.

Academic Awards & Recognitions

• Gold Medal for Performance Excellence – Awarded at school level in the SOF International English Olympiad, achieving 1st Place in School Ranking and 1st Place in City Ranking.
• Progress Award (Form 1) – Presented at the Asian International School Annual Awards Day 2023.
• Progress Award (Form 2) – Presented at the Asian International School Annual Awards Day 2024.
• Most Outstanding Middle School Sculler – Awarded at the Asian International School Annual Awards Day 2025.

Scholarships

• Recipient of academic scholarships and special recognition awards from Asian International School in acknowledgment of outstanding achievements, excellence, and contributions to rowing during the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic years.
